Founded in 2021 in Sacramento, CA - CDG was born out of frustration, concern and care about America, Americans and Liberty.

The History of CDG

In the summer of 2021, after a year of unlawful behavior by the Governor, state legislators and health department officials, Kaye Lynn, a woman living in Sacramento, could no longer sit by and watch the majority of the population comply with such ridiculous suggestions as wearing masks, staying home, business closures and so-called vaccine mandates.

As a long-time student of the Constitution, having taken numerous courses over the years from many different sources, the only thing she could think of doing, is sharing those courses with others. In her mind, the biggest problem in the country was not the clueless legislators, nor even the evil intentions of those in power who knew what they were doing but, it was the lack of knowledge about the true power structure in this exceptional country called the United States of America.

She knew the people had been duped, deceived and betrayed beyond measure, not realizing how the founders of this country left them tools to use to prevent the situation we are in today.  The founders wrote the Constitution to be the rule of law for those who are elected and/or appointed to protect the unalienable rights of the people.  In ignorance the people have been unaware of their duties and responsibilities when it comes to enforcing the Constitution.

"Freedom can exist only in the society of knowledge.  Without learning, men are incapable of knowing their rights"

                                    ~ Benjamin Rush

To make a tiny difference in her small circle of influence, Kaye Lynn and her husband, David, started holding meetings in their home.  The first one had two guests, and slowly the group grew and moved to a larger location in their housing development.  As more people attended through invitations of participants, by spring of 2022,  a well-known small business advocate and friend, was able to find a wonderful location at Epic Bible College.  Epic has been their home ever since, and has supported CDG in many ways.

In order to provide more time for people to network and get to know each other, the group held its first Potluck in late December of 2022.  Then another in March of 2023.  Both were successful in bringing new people into the group to learn more about the Constitution.

The CDG footprint is now in Solano County, run by a group of liberty focused Solano County residents.  We have hosted several CDG courses with increased growth in a short time.   We joined with Sacramento CDG in co-sponsoring a Constitution Celebration Day, which turned out to be the only such public celebration in Sacramento County.  Our goal is to continue to grow where there are Constitution Discussion Groups in every city and town in our region and even the State.

Solano CDG is committed to reaching out to other counties with the same footprint Kaye Lynn created, in hopes that a CDG would take place in every county in California.
